A snow globe, when you think about it is one of the simplest things that you can buy (either for yourself or as a present for a loved one). Despite this, it is one of the most magical and amazing things that you can buy (many people still don’t know how they work), especially if you purchase one of the many personalized snow globes that are available. Personalized snow globes are basically what you have come to expect from a snow globe but with a picture of you, your family or whatever you like placed inside them.
It is a much more original gift than simply giving someone a picture (the same picture as you would put inside it) and that is why personalized snow globes are so popular these days. However, only as long as a few years ago these would be commonly seen in the bedroom of any self respecting child with a mini snowman, Father Christmas or some kind of Christmas scene inside them.

For example, I had one that had a purple kind of glitter in it, which gave a very different effect than most personalized snow globes. Another example is one that my friend had – a multicoloured load of glitter was inside it (I’m not sure if they actually use glitter, but whatever they use is what I mean!) which looked simply stunning when shaken. When looking for custom made/personalized snow globes to be made, you’ll either need to shop online (online shopping for this kind of thing is becoming increasingly easy and common) or you’ll need to find a specialist kind of shop that is willing to make them for you. While most shops sell snow globes, it is only the very rarest of place that stocks and sells personalized snow globes, so if you ever see a place like this be sure to stop and take note of where you saw it!
For years snow globes have been the perfect gift for children, and children’s snow globes are the main part of the industry. In my opinion, it’s a shame that most adults seem to ‘grow out’ of having personalized snow globes, possibly because they don’t sense the same kind of magic in them that they used to, but at least the youth of today seem to appreciate the full wonder of personalized snow globes.
